This is my first attempt at a powder horn. I purchased the base horn mostly cleaned up and polished but there were lots of rough spots and ridges. I did file flats on the lower part but they're hard to see. I might end up staining at least the lower part but we'll see. Then a strap and cord to retain the spout plug and I'll use it.

KILLER! great for a first timer! my first one 70+ yrs ago didn't even come close to yours!
