First powder horns

Carved spout and cap, ball is threaded for filling.
The lighter colored one is for a small day horn.

I like the smaller one better as well: the subtlety of its' features makes it more pleasing to my eye

Been working on the horn a little, liked the swirl near the spout, so carried it to the cap.
Installed the cap with bees wax today, still needs pins and some scraping.
Cap is made from a maple branch, cut into a disk, so when finished you see the growth rings..
