First Try at Making an Deer Antler Handle Knife.....

First try building a deer antler handled knife. The blade was a little large, however, it was going back to the owner of the items I used. Enjoy this radical attempt at Knife Building - 101 :

The tine fits the hand perfectly in the curve and the fork was just screaming to be shaped into a finger guard.
This is one of the most comfortable knives I have ever made.

Never measured it. Used it for an eating and cooking knife.

These are a few I made years ago. The bottom two were files the top 01 steel. The top one is always on my belt during deer season

are the arrow head & the straight razor knives made for patch cutting?

the arrow head is an all purpose knife (when with my archery kit it's on an arrow the handle is in my bag, till gutting time) with flinter it's a patch knife, as is the straight razer. the secret is the arrow head is put into the antler with an insert(hot melt glued and turned to desired angle) that way it can be unscrewed and placed on an arrow or replaced as needed
