Flame Stripe Ramrod

OK, I had the desire (no other explanation) to flame strip a ram rod. Question, after wrapping with masking tape and subjecting to my handy dandy hand torch, how the heck do yo get the tape off?

I was going to suggest acetone, but once the stickum is baked I don't know if it would work.

Goo-Be-Gone or Goo-off, whatebver that stuff is called works wonders.

WD40 does a number on almost all of mans adhesives.
Spray it on and let it sit overnite.

Remove the glue with lighterfluid, IF it will come off. You are not supposed to use tape, you are supposed to use a piece of bed sheeting folded over several times to the desired width, then wet it good, then wrap the RR, then torch it, then remove the sheeting.
