Quick afternoon project turned out pretty well, thanks to others on this forum who posted similar designs.
I made this for my hunting bag. It has specific spots for 3 flints, a spare barrel retainer pin (I’ve lost two before smartening up and bending them slightly before insertion), 1 lead and 1 leather flint wrap, a ball puller, and a cloth “worm.” I also carry one non-period item—barrel “condoms” for rainy days, and they fit loosely in the bag when the top flap is opened.
The antler tip buckle matches the bag this will ride inside of. A little tough to undo, but that’s fine for this seldom-use item.
Gus inspired me to try the stitch punch again, and it worked great for this project!
