I've actually got two kits flintlocjs being deliver any day now. I have done one flintlock many years ago and can't remember so I'm asking. Do any of you kit builders ever have trouble where the front lock bolt end up being to high and woll hit the barrel? Being kit your limited to where the lock is. Seems like my first one just grooved the bottom of barrel maybe 1/16 to1/8. Not bad but not correct I know but it worked. Thanks

The groove is no big deal and yes my rear lock bolt always goes through breech plug tank area. I was just thinking if it ended up being in a bad spot like ramrod or Barrel,,,I guess you could take the barrel out and put a real short lock bolt through from inside the lock mortise. I will repost on how it lights up soon. Thanks
