Hi, Im new to the forums and have a question. Anyone know of a custom gunshop called gobbler knob and or the quality of their work. Have some very nice pictures of custom Lancasters at reasonable prices. [url] http://www.gobblerknoblongrifles.com/[/url]
Take a look, let me know what u think. I am planning on buying a nice flintlock, and dont have the skills/confidence to build my own. Thanks guys.

 

First off, Welcome to the Forum, you've made a good choice coming here. Gobler Knob was /is a member here, but I haven't seen him on line in a while. I have one of his custom calls. It's all I use for turkey hunting. His work looks very nice, and his comments that you should talk to him personally about what you want are a good bet. There are a number of other fine builders that are on this site and can build you a fine gun. Stick around, and ask lots of questions.

Welcome aboard, sure you will find lots of information here. Plenty of knowledgeable people to help one separate wheat from the chaff.

Let me also welcome you to the MLF. As to
your question I have never heard anything bad
about Rick or his work. I own one of his box
calls and it is about as good as they get. But
I must say a turkey call is a far piece from a
custom made longrifle. I would suggest you contact
Rick by phone and share your concerns with him.
What little I know of him, he will be very honest
and up front with you. Just an opinion.
