Do any of you know of a reputable, good quality, flintlock pistol in .54 cal. I know that the PC / HC pistols were all smooth bores in .62 or even larger.

pedersoli makes one. kentucky style. or you could go to track of the wolf they offer both a hawken and a kentucky pistol in .54

I have a .54 in percussion and it will kick a bit :shocked2: so just be forewarned.
But I love it though. Wish I had one as a flint.

Cheers, DonK

Thanks guys. I have the Lyman pistol in 54 and it kicks a bit, but is extremely accurate for me at 10 and 25 yards. Haven't mastered it at 50 yards. I was lucky to keep it on the paper. LOL

I would hesitate to say that all pistols were smooth and that all were 62 or longer.
The common size for duelers was 54 and while they were supposed to be smooth many were scratch rifled.
There were rifled and smooth pistols in America and the calibers varied some were large, some were typical rifle size.
