YEP... and the guy who made that for the tourists wasn't a shooter, and was betting the tourist wasn't either.Wall hanger, tourist gun, non-firing decorator. Sold in bazars in the Middle East for the tourists. Never was intended to be fired and couldn't be made to.
My first thought was Pakistan!Welcome to the board !
IMO it looks like was made in one of the "stans"
(Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan, or Pakistan)
I have seen a stack of this type of "firearm" many with disappointed owners who thought they were getting something rare . Barrels which only protrude above the wood and aren't inletted at all , screw heads cast on , modern threads on old looking screws , barrels cast in halves and glued together , wood that is something other than real wood , seams on castings etc . I have even seen them with letters of authenticity from Museum staff who wouldn't know a real firearm from their elbow , which led to arguments when I wouldn't value them more than a few dollars .Wall hanger, tourist gun, non-firing decorator. I don’t know if this is real or not, but combination weapons were popular at one time. Guns were even made in to table silverware. About the time colt was making his revolver a cutlas pistol was made for the navy.Wall hanger, tourist gun, non-firing decorator. Sold in bazars in the Middle East for the tourists.
