Flint held his annual flintlock frolick up Dry Fork Canyon today. Eight of us shot, a low number due to the deer season being on. Jim Goodman (reclining) took first place, I was second, and Lisa, who was new to muzzleloading shooting, took third. Then there was a shoot-off of the top three. The target was the antelope drawn by my daughter Linda, shot at 30 meters (Flint is German). Lisa, a brand new shooter, won.

The aiming point was the rose. Closest shot won. Jim shot high and I shot low, but Lisa shot closest and won.

Herb, was hoping to see some pictures posted on the forum when your email to me indicated you were getting ready to head out to a flintlock shoot yesterday.

I see as usual, you were a top placer in the competition! Congratulations. Shooting with a bunch of friends in a beautiful location...a day cannot get much better than that! :hatsoff:

A few more photos. Jim shooting.

The top three. Lisa had not shot in a match before today. She had a good coach. Wonder if he would help me?....

My computer is so slow in adding the photos that I do two at a time. Here are Lisa and Flint.

A close up of my daughter Linda's target. (The winner of the shoot has to draw next year's target, or get someone to do it. I won last year's shoot).
