Not perzactly pc to everyone's taste. But just fine for my old back.
I modified the plans slightly to fit my body and support my back. I also reduced the size as much as possible to save weight. A major consideration was given to how high/low to make the back. Wanted support and comfort. Too low would have been uncomfortable, too high waste of wood and unneeded weight. Mine is made from ash and teak. But hickory would be a good choice.
 
A google search for "George Washington's camp stools" will produce a set of planes that I have used several times.
