Guess I need to put this thread here. Temptation over came me and I took the T/C to the last Rendezvous. Put the 40 cal. Green Mountain Barrel on it and used it on the trail walk. Sure I got second place and might of done better but was consummed with guilt. This gun is a, do I dare say it, a caplock. Now I usually take my Northwest Trade Gun 62 cal. smoothbore flinter a real gun, but I am usually the only one at this Rondy who brings a smoothbore. So I gave in to temptation and took the rifle caplock. My Question is what do I do for penance? What was I thinking? To make things worse 2 smoothbores showed up because they were sure I would have mine. :nono:

Send all of your flint locks to me, they must be riddled with jealousy by now...

I couldn't believe what I was reading, what next, tg becomes the moderator of the inline section??? :haha: :haha: :haha:

Hey, you're human, so you took a caplock, it will make you appreciate your flintlocks all the more next time...

Are we getting to the point where even using a caplock is taboo?
I admit that I have shunned inlines but to think it's a sin to use a caplock is preposterous.
Can't we all just get along!?
Next thing you know we will see folks arguing that a matchlock should be the only thing used.
Maybe we should light our powder by rubbing two sticks together.
BTW, If you don't want that caplock send it to:

Terrible ain't it? :shake:
Simular thing happened to me. At local 3-D archery shoots I started shooting "Bare Bow" (Compound shot like trad., no sights, off shelf, fingers, etc.) and after about 6 mos. it was just me and anouther gal in the event. Next year I swithced to the trad Longbow. Wouldn't you know it, next year, the first shoot brought 7 others because they "like my style"! :curse:
I stayed with the Longbow.

O-A-H, not making sumtin outa nuttin are you! ::

You have transgressed therefore you are sentenced to hunting ducks geese and other fowl with you rifle for at least ten minutes or until you come to your sences LOL rusty

You should be on your knees giving thanks for being delivered from "The Tyranny of the Rock!"

OK, LET'S SEE IF I HAVE THIS STRAIGHT. SO I HAVE TO USE A CAPLOCK RIFE TO HUNT WATER FOWL FOR 10 MINUTES. OK but I am not sending my flinters to Musketman. :curse: He must have done somting real bad to have to wear that sack all the time. As for being banned from the trail walks, I can use the time to practice my POWER resting.
Thanks for all the fun replies.

P.S. Maybe I'll just use a sling shot. Traditional of course. :applause:
