Their security certificate is expired by a few days. You should have an option to proceed to the site anyway to view the info. It's a risk, I guess, but I'm not entering any personal info.

I normally use the Facebook page, even though I don't have an account you can access the info.
I don't think they have much about the rules of the camp or any camp information on the Facebook page. I do know they have all that on the official site and when I was talking with a friend who needed some info on it I could not access to get that info.

Bad thing about the facebook page if you aren't a facebooker is that you can click on only a few things then it blocks and asks for you to log in. So you can't get much info off of that.

You're correct most of that info is on the main site but if you have a facebook account you can ask any question on the facebook page.
The person to ask would be Jennifer Duensing.
I might be able to answer most of your questions I've only been going there for 30 years.

As with many clubs and sites involved in living history or muzzleloading it seems that updating the site gets looked over quite a bit and when people that don't have a connection with anyone in the club or historic site and are just trying to get information about attending an event it easily gets lost or passed over to the saying "well it was last updated 4 months, or a year ago, I guess nothing is happening here". I looked at the official facebook site and didn't see much, Les Amis is a few days but good as far as a flyer but that's it. I can't look anymore because I have to log in and can't and don't want to set up an account.

The state of Illinois maintains the official site, and the local group hosting the event has very little control over it.

It's only a few weeks out now for the Fort. If any of you fine folks are looking for some nice blankets, capotes, or Mackinaws, stop by my camp. I've got a pretty nice collection for this year.
Pretty sure my brother is in the market for a wool blanket. If we make it, and it is in the plan, we will stop by your tent and peruse your blanket section.

I've got just about anything you could want. The only thing I don't have at this time is an HB white with a black stripe, which is hard to come by at a decent price.
Prices range from 50- 150.

Mulling it over still. Weather is a big factor for me, don't mind the cold, it's the cold/rain that gets me especially on Sunday when I have to tear down a wet tent and gear and pack it up to drive 6 hours back home.
I do know that there are some motels in nearby Red Bud that's a little closer than Waterloo.

I'll be in a military camp on the eastern side of the dry ditch close to the staff parking lot.

I go to enjoy the camp. I have several relatives in and around Hecker, Waterloo and Collinsville, so I could stay with them but I would rather be in the camp. Hopefully there will be no soaking rains, been watching the weather forecast but it's still too far out to tell. making plans to be there. Will be camped closer to the road because we can pack out early Sunday without disturbing the camp. Listen for a guitar, squeezebox or mandolin sounds I will be playing one or the other throughout the weekend.
