Mrs Coot & I are looking forward to being there again - look for us at the sign of the Blue Cat. We are normally by the back wall of the fort near Tentsmiths.

i will be visitng thursday or saturday depending on weather and schedule

It is a four day event. All of the vendors are supposed to be open on Thursday. If any vendor is not set up on Thursday, they might be given a worse spot for next year or even "uninvited".

True true, but then again things happen like illness and car trouble. A couple of years ago as I was sitting in line a sutler was coming in, and the line doubles back on itself so he was passing me..., his tire on his trailer was so "gone" that I could see through a hole to the inner tube..., so he was on time for the market fair..., barely. :shocked2:

I went today, cloudy with sprinkles, but still had a good time. Seemed like the normal Sunday crowd. Folks I talked with said it was pretty busy Friday & Sat.

had a great time on saturday, it did get quite busy, took some new folks with me and have at least 1 new recruit, ran into old friends hadnt seen in a year...got suplied for the next few months...great to be back

I was there on Saturday and had a great day. The crowd seemed to be the same size as last year, and the weather was PERFECT.

I am amazed at skill of the craftsmen that show up! There are some beautiful things there to look at.

About 145 vendors registered, a couple (as with anything) did not make it. Tentsmiths for example, was planning to come but Deborah got sick. Weather was a bit iffy for set up on Wednesday & then absolutely great for Thurs, Fri & Sat & then rain/light drizzle for takedown Sunday. Mrs Coot & I will be setting up wet canvas (in the rain here) so it can dry out on Tues. I managed to find a really nice little flat pocket horn for my screwbarrel and a correct linen woven check for a shirt - but at $12 a yard, only bought enough for one shirt.

Another great event at Ft. Fred!

Only a few hours of rain all week. Of couse, my deck is covered with wet canvas now, because those few hours were right at the end. :haha:
