I look for a servicable CVA or Traditions Frontier, Bobcat or Kentucky in percussion, for a youngster. A single mom whose son expressed an interest in muzzleloading asked me about a rifle. Her son hunts with archery equipment and a 20 gauge unmentionable. So, a smokepole is missing šŸ˜
Maybe there is a member here that wants to get rid of a rifle for a good price.
Please PM me for my e-mail or offers.
Thanks

Ok ,yes CVA or Traditions are budget guns. If you tell this story to a pawn shop you can
sometimes luck out too. Also here on the forum is good to ask. A young person won't
mind some scratches and scuffs which can be removed or lessened. A low price is
in the $150-200 range. A sympathetic heart might let something go for less. Have a
gunsmith give it a look over for safety and have young folks use ear & eye protection.
Of course, as a member here you might check it out and give the basic lessons for him.

Great job tecum. I have a CVA Pennsylvania in .50 with a 1-66 twist barrel. I would gladly send it to you but I am saving it to train my grandsons, ages 10 and 6.
Look for one of these, great lightweight rifle.
The butt is hard brass so I made a custom leather recoil pad. Should work great.

If interested I just acquired a Traditions ( think it is Deer Hunter model ) which would be good for a child or smaller frame adult in a 50 cal that I'm preparing to post for sale.
