A 19th. cent. fowlers horn, with Dixon of Sheffield flask head. spout measures in drams with four settings. Dixon co. was started in 1778. These horns were popular in the 19th.cent. A nice size horn that will hold at least a half pound of powder I think. Honey color, I think the base plug is walnut. tight weave suspension strap with leather fobs through brass rings. This type horn was also used by shot gun hunters. A nice accessory for your smooth bore. 70.00 plus shipping
