Last year while viewing Eric Kettenburgs rifle sight (www.firelocks.com) I found a link to Frank Tyler's leatherwork site. There were some really nice leather pouches, ball bags, shot snakes etc. I tried several times to contact him at the number listed but to no avail. Now the link is gone. Does anybody know about his work and how he can be reached? thanks

I spoke to Frank about a year ago and at that time he told me that he was no longer doing the leather work due to other responsibilities.

Too bad, too... he made some beautiful pouches.

Thats what I was afraid of. That being said, who are some others whose work would compare??

I've met a guy named Cal(vin) Tanner at Dixon's Gunbuilders Fair the past couple of years. I bought a great haversack from him a couple of years ago. IMHO, his work is on par with what I saw of Frank's. He doesn't have a web site but he's from Bainbridge, OH - not sure how you can contact him.
I've bought some bags from Jeanne McDonald too - she does nice work reasonably priced (IMO). Her and Rich are extremely good to deal with. Rich & Jeanne McDonald - Long Knives & Leather
Ed Wilde Wilde Weavery has some nice ones.
Ken Scott was another - but his web site seems to be down.
