I have ground a large brass punch flattened on one side also. Thinking of investing in a clamp type with the threaded pusher. Just looking for some opinions on a good model. Sometimes I get a little scared of a whacking to hard with a hammer! Ive run across some really tight ones!

Flat piece of brass close to the same width as the base of the sight and a leather crafting hammer that doesn't rebound like my metal ones. Barrel clamped in vise beneath the sight. Hint - if the brass piece skips off'n the side of the sight, it is possible to break the sight blade plumb off. Light taps work better for me than hard whacks. Have Fun.
