On Saturday, May 25, there will be a Bicentennial Commemoration of the War of 1812 at Ft. Osage in Sibley, Missouri. There will be both Military and civilian reenactors.
Ft. Osage was the farthest west of the U.S. Factory forts. It was constructed in 1808 and has been reconstructed to appear as it did in 1812.
Ft. Osage can be reached by taking U.S Highway 24 to Buckner, Missouri and taking Missouri Highway BB north to Sibley.
