On May 17,18,19 2007 The Sycamore Shoals State Historic Area and Ft Watauga will hold the annual seige of the fort. It is a Revolutionary era battle with militia and indians. The Overmountain Men will be encamped at the fort. There is plenty of room wood, straw, shower, and bathrooms are provided. There is a new indian camp area. Everyone is invited with a special invitation to Cherokee and other Eastern Woodland Indian interpertations. Militia, civilian, and longhunter interpertations also welcome. This is an actual event that took place in 1776. Traders and such are invited.
