Sorry there are little points that nibble at you, for me it's an amazing piece of work. Long, lean lines and lovely wood! Congratulations!! ...and the sign is a hoot! :haha: :applause:

That's something special! And if it doesn't shoot you can always pole-vault!

OK, OK. I'll be "the devil's advocate" & tell all ya'll ("all ya'll" being the collective Texican plural for "everybody in shouting distance") that I think that that firearm needs an extended session with a sharp hacksaw/drawsaw, files, sandpaper, etc., etc. = Properly "pruned", it would make a GREAT fowler for birds & other edible game.

Downright PURTY wood/metal, though.

yours, satx

Now you need to put your metal working skills to the test, making a gun safe big enough to hold your new sweetie!

Oh no, that's the beauty of the piece. Those long, graceful French styling lines are a thing of beauty...no pruning allowed!

I just KNEW that I would "stir someone up". - Just never thought that my friend from Bastrop County would defend anything "froggie".

LOL.

What does she weigh in at? Did you do the engraving on the lockplate? NICE build!

Ballpark price?

FWIW at the range I have more fun loading my 65-cal 54" barreled Fusil de Boucanier by the late John Bosh. Besides the fact that the barrel is above my head (I'll tip it on an angle or step up onto the bench seat for effect, haha!), but the looks and comments from others at the range is worth the price of admission alone ...

Hard to see how you could find anything to be unhappy about. Wonderful looking firearm. graybeard

I see your one of those who wants to get as close to what he is shooting at with that short barrel..... Great looking flintlock.... I hope the things bothering you are minor and will lessen with time....

It won't fit in my safe either, but that is OK, I'd never put it down! Beautiful.
