Went out last week to work on some loads for my tulle. Had .595 and .600 balls to work with and decide which would work better. Using bearfat greased patch on both I shot and had little difference shooting off hand. Had some traditional paper cartridges that I tried and was able to reload rapidly with the .595 and had about the same accuracy. I will be sticking with the .595 then use a thicker patch if so loading. Otherwise, I will use the paper cartidges and carry my reloads in by belly box. I want to get a gang mould Mike (cannon) Moore as depicted in the Nov/Dec Muzzleloader.
Also had some shot cartridges. Rip of the paper and dump in the powder then stuff the rest in the tube. I only had #7 or so shot. Used a 9/16 leather over powder wad and a 9/16 cardboard over shot wad. The shot end also was twisted to close. I was pleased and shooting at the regular police targets we have had good coverage out to 22 yards. After 22 it was all gone.
