Our muzzle loader season ended today except for a antlerless week in December. I enjoyed a great game of Chess this year with a 8 point that roams my woods. He beat me fair and square and I look forward to a rematch and beating him next year when hes bigger, older and wiser. It will mean all that much more. Till then, my hats off to him. :hatsoff:

If you truly love to hunt, you dont need to kill to have a good season. I'm glad you had a good season and what you learned about your buck this year will only contribute to his demise next year.

Big buck or not, it was time well spent. Good luck in next years chess game! :v

The thrill of the hunt is always better than a day at work.

Best of luck to you next hunting season.

Yep...

Shotgun starts this weekend, I decided not to buy tags and not hunt it. I do still have Archery tags that are good to the end of January. I may sneak out from time to time, especially post rut if it isn't to unbareable to sit then.

I hate to but I really should try to tag a Doe or two here and will try to during our muzzle loader Doe only week in December.

But right now it's lookin like this guys pretty safe atm unless some jerk sneaks in here and runs into him.

Great attitude Swamp Rat. It is the game of chance and skill that makes hunting so enjoyable. If there was a guarantee would it be called :hmm: shopping?
