Grandad was a farmer, he called snow "poor man's fertilized" I'd just as soon use coffee grounds, compost and manure🤣

We use to raise rabbits!

I'm ready this year I think. Just need to work on the fence.

I don't think I'm going to bother growing and starting plants for everyone. I'm just going to do double what I need and give what I don't plant to my aunt and call it good.. she's up there in age alone doing what she can for a garden.

Kinda forgot about this section. I haven't been getting the notifications.

Made some bread and butter pickles. First time I tried making pickles and is very happy with the results. Very satisfying when you grow, harvest and process what you grow.

I think I mentioned this before. Do you do it with the green tomatoes? I havnt got the info from dad yet.

Those are real good.

I can work on getting the info over the holiday...

I think it's salt the water out. Soak in vinegar not sure what one. stuff the jar full and fill with oil to the top and cap it. In not sure though it's my dad's thing. I can try to get the info if you want.

They do it with the peppers to. There good for a sandwich.

And there's the stuffed cherry peppers.

Also have a vinegar barrel for strong stuff for the salad. White oak barrel. Real good vinegar.

I mix my elderberries with yeast and sugar to make my tonic. A barrel of wine can do more good than a drug store. 😃

Yup.. made wine. I should have paid more attention to that.

My friend has everything from grandpa. I might talk him into it. He did it allot growing up and actually knows how.

That's a good one though. I don't know what where my grandfather wine making equipment ended up.
