G'day All!
I'm brand-new to muzzleloaders and black powder. I don't know much about it, but am keen to learn and have fun. I've bought a second-hand .54" CVA mountain rifle from a fellow Aussie who I think is a member here and pointed me to this forum. The rifle is on the way from Queensland to the Northern Territory, and it might be another month before I receive permission to purchase it from our Police Firearms Branch (who are really great guys to work with, unlike in some other parts of Australia). So I'm in the process of gathering the necessary goodies together and sourcing caps and powder - the latter is a challenge, but I'll get there. I live in a really remote part of the bush, in a small Aboriginal community, but my neighbour grew-up with black powder and muzzleloaders, so that's handy. And a fellow in Darwin (about ten hours drive away) will also give me some help when I visit that way in a couple of months.
Kind regards,
Ben
