Since I now shoot left handed, I am finally replacing my 50 caliber right hand flint Dixie Tennessee Mountain Rifle with a 50 caliber LEFT hand Dixie Tennessee Mountain Rifle.
And I found someone selling a couple of spare left hand locks for it, so I'm springing for those also. Murphy's Law dictates that if I have a spare lock I will never need it.

Now I need to find some left hand flints....
Patches should work just fine in the lefty; I just have to remember to flip them upside down.

NO NO NO--On a lefty you lube the side of the patch next to the ball. :haha:

I thought lefties just shot a right handed rifle with it upside down?.......at least that's how they do it around here! Greg

every time I cast a batch of balls, I spend hours sorting out the left hand balls, its really time consuming.

Actually I have shot an underhammer flintlock. A fellow had one at a rendezvous I was at and he let several of us shoot it. You definately wanted long sleeves. :idunno:
