I agree that the 30 minute trip to Fort Chambers in Chambersburg is worth it. But, there are a few cool shops in Gettysburg too. Reddings Hardware Store, The Horse Soldier, and The Regimental Quartermaster are all cool shops. The Horse Soldier is like a civil war muzzleloader museum. Prices are very high on most stuff, but a lot of inventory of antique firearms and related civil war items.

There are a few places on the outer edge of the area. Down in Winchester VA, Back Creek, I am told, has a nice shop (stock up[ on powder there.)., going the other way from Gettysburg, Dixon's muzzle loaders near Krumsville PA, about 50 minutes east of Harrisburg.

I’ll recommend Brownstown Trading Co.
2029 Old Bachmans Valley Rd, Westminster MD.
No website, limited hours, call first to make sure he open.410-876-6595.
Its run by the owner and his wife.
Less than 30 minutes from Gettysburg.
Usually a nice selection of older muzzleloaders, etc.for sale.
