I was in my local Bass Pro Shop in Branson and mentioned that it looked like I was going to have to order my Goex and pony up the HazMat fee, and to my surprise they said they had it in stock!!!!

They don't advertise it and they don't put it out on the shelves but when I want any just tell the counter person and they will get it.

Just an FYI and it's cheaper than paying the hazmat.

The carry it at Concord Mills (Charlotte) as well...I was told that since they have to keep it in a fireproof safe they keep it in the back...

It was $19.99 there last year...

Last month I was in the Bass Pro Outdoor World box store at Great Lakes Crossing in Auburn Hills, MI, and found Goex ON THE SHELF. One can of each of three granulations, each priced at $19. That's more than it costs me at my local shop, so I didn't buy any. I've since learned that the cans on the shelf are actually empty; they're there to let people know they sell the stuff and to ask for it at the counter.

i got a can of goex last week in jefferson city mo at boggs creek sporting goods for $13.95 and hornady round balls 45 cal 440 for $8.25

It was 19.99 here in Branson, MO.

So far it's the only local source I've found and cheaper than dealing with the hazmat fee until I can get in on a group buy.

Hey there Badkarma,

If you're within striking distance of Branson, you're also in striking distance of Berryville, AR (less than one hour drive).

They have a muzzleloader shoot coming up September 24-27, 2009. There will be a few traders there, among them a gentleman who sells Goex, Schuetzen, Swiss, and a few others. Goex runs $13 per pound.

Well worth the drive down, you might even consider competing. PT me if you're interested and I'll forward the specifics to you, which includes driving directions.

:hatsoff:

My local Gander Mt. always has it, and a lot of times the young guys don’t even know they carry it. They kind of stare at you blankly and point you to the pyrodex. Then Finally some old timer hooks you up and it takes ten minutes for them to fill out all the doggone paper work.

I got $13.99/lb back in February, but since then it’s gone up to 17.99. The nearest Bass Pro is more expensive (and a longer drive). I think I finally found enough people to make a bulk purchase worth it. But 13.99 without the hazmat is not bad.

I order KIK powder for 10.75 a pound shipped through powder inc., of course you have to buy 25#'s at a time, my wife got over it eventually. If I could get it at the store for $13 I wouldn't have a good reason to buy 25#'s of the stuff.

the bass pro shop down here in lawrenceville,ga. was $22.00 a lb for goex last time i checked maybe 2 years ago. ordered 10.00 lb of swiss for $208.00 from powders inc. instead. better powder for less.

well i just checked the bass pro shop by the house and they've gone down to $19.99 a lb. just to up date ya'll.
