A couple questions about the Goex please...is it:

A general sporting goods store?
A hunting / shooting type store?
A gun shop / gunsmith type store?
Price?
City?

You're lucky. Make sure you give them all the support you can. I use to be able to get powder about 25 miles from where I live but that city raised the fee for the sporting goods store from $50 to $300 a year so they dropped the Holy Black. I now have to drive about 100 miles each way.

While you are there, see if your supplier has KIK powder and if so, you might want to try a pound. It will give more velocity than equal measures of Goex and burns much cleaner. Powders, Inc actually sells it for less than Goex and it performs more like Swiss, which costs substancially more. I have also founf that the KIK Ffg performs more like Goex Ffg and works best in all my rifles except for a .32 & .40 cal. I am really impressed by it.

I havn't been to this store before so I'm not sure exactly what they are. They are listed on the Goex web sight as a dealer so I called them. I was tolled they sell the black to the public but the rest of their buisness is to dealers. They are located about 15 miles south of Winston-Salem, NC.

15 miles south of W-S would be Lexington. Is that the place?

Got my directions off a little. Its more to the west in Davie county. It is about five miles east of Mocksville on highway 158.
