Well tomorrow I'm headed to Gettysburg, going to try to hit Fort Neccessity and Fort Loudon on the way there and stop in at Fort Chambers gun shop and Conococheague Trade Co. Taking the digital camera and plan on taking pictures, daughter lives in Gettysburg and my Son is headed down from Ballston Spa in N.Y. So it will be family time again. Just hoping to take some side trips on my way there or back home.

There is a respectful hush in the air when you take in Gettysburg, one of my favorite places to go...

I'm going to Gettysburg tomorrow also. I saw in the newspaper that they are having civil war reenactments in the field behind Boyd's Bears 7/17 & 18, 7/24 & 25. Next weekend I'm going to Dixon's Gunmakers fair. Where is Fort Chambers gun shop and Conococheague Trade Co? Might make for a good day trip sometime. Thanks.

You'll love it! It's the most hollowed ground in the country.
I spent an entire week there and still didn't see everything and didn't want to leave. Awesome experience!
I stood on the Union lines overlooking the open ground the Confederates walked across facing Union cannon and musket fire. I have no idea what kind of men could muster the courage to make that charge KNOWING full well at least one half would be struck down!

I missed the re-enactment at the Boyds Bear place, made it there on Monday, had car problems and vehicle was in the shop at Hanover, been to Gettysburg several times and am always in awe when I'm there.
