Some pics of unmarked Ornate Ormolu-mounted And Gold-inlaid Continental Flintlock Holster Pistol C.1715-1730.
.59 caliber, 14 3/8-inch tapered barrel, the top flat with gold-inlaid floral meander. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Breech engraved and gold-inlaid with a panoply of flags, bust of a Moorish warrior and wreath flanked with putti. Tang engraved and gold-inlaid with panoply and florals. Polished steel banana-shaped lock and cock engraved with panoplies and seated warrior. Faceted pan. Relief-carved deluxe burl walnut stock with gilt floral ormolu furniture, escutcheon and counterplate.

Wow, is that one in a private collection? Or museum piece? And how did you come by the fotos? If you had that one today you would be Booshwaay fer sure!
 
I discovered that 'undertaker' has left the forum due to some kind of slight by another member. A real shame - he posted some great fotos and info about 'Continental' firearms and other info. Many here will miss the input he put time and effort in to provide. :( :(
