WARNING.....These rifles are not PC
With the temperatures rising some this morning it looked like a good morning to do some shooting. So a friend and I headed to the range for a little shooting BS and Round ball.
I shot these two guns...

The T/C is a percussion 50 cal.The Lyman is the 50 cal Flintlock. Both great guns to shoot and have been in the cabinet for a long time.
We spent 2 and 1/2 hours a shootin and it was great!!Looking forward to the next trip to the range.

Well its nice to know somebody got to get out and make some smoke this weekend (even if it wasn't me :haha: ). Those look like good huntin' rifles.

Me and my son went today also.Nice day to shoot. How does the Lyman shoot?I almost bought one of those.

I got out Saturday to put some rounds through my new GPR barrel.
I have a Deerstalker flint like your's but my wood is not as good looking as yours is.
Mine is .54 cal and likes a .530 ball w/pillow tick patch...Great shooter.
If I don't get out and shoot every weekend I go stir crazy.

Made it out to the Range on Sat. Sunny and in the 40s. Shot my T/C Hawkins 50. Tried out some new Walmart Pillow Ticking. Great day to make smoke and punched holes in paper. If I won the Lottery I would buy one of each type of M/L and just shoot, shoot, and shoot.

I had plans to go shooting, didn't happen. :yakyak:
I'm jealous. There is always next week.

Got out this afternoon and did a lot of shooting. I am still in the process of breaking in my GPR barrel and trying to see what combination works best. The tough part is no matter what I use in this rifle the groups are pretty darn good.

Got out today too. Shot my TC Hawken .54 and my Jukar .45 for the first time. Must say I prefer my Hawken. Have it sighted in. The Jukar you have to file and drift one left or right. The Jukar is shootin left but the elevation was good enough.

Actually I shot better with the Lyman than I did with the Rennegade. It does a real good job with rb's out to 75 yards.

We had our monthly club shoot this weekend. Great day, mid 50s, enough breeze to push the smoke away but not enough to effect shooting.

I took my newest .32 and had a great time. I was the only flinter in the bunch. Normally there are two or three others.

There's just something about slow moving Black powder Smoke!
