low fence means the deer can move from ranch to ranch by hopping the fence....where as a high fence hunt the deer are canned and can't leave the area....hence the term "canned hunt" :v .............bob
 
Do you know anything about the management practices used on the ranch? Acres involved, area rotation, etc? Where in Texas? Vegetation looks a little like maybe southeast-southwest of San Antonio???

Hey, that's a beautiful piece of wood in that stock. Is it ash? Nice piece...wish I owned one like it!
