I had a 65 yard shot today around 8:50AM I saw him coming and he didn't see me, wind was right and I #%$@* missed him. He simply turned around and stood there for 30 seconds broad side still, thank the good lord I had my 2 shot loading block and a single charge of 3F around my neck and my capper, he never moved. Hit him dead on the second shot never got up or nothing...I still can't believe it, I have been working on a second shot fast reload shot because I like to stalk hunt and I guess it paid off. It was a nice 6 point, not a big rack but a big bodied deer...
I still can't believe it, I'm getting too old for this much excitment or I had a dumb deer today.

You obviously did good with reloading under pressure.
As for the deer: It must have been his time!

Yes, we've had reports of extremely depressed and often suicidal whitetails. Research has found that FFG is the antidepressant of choice in these situations. Congratulations.

Old saying is : success favors the prepared mind! Congrats on doing things right. Good smoke, ron in FL
