I have a Great Plains Pistol (.50 cal) that I assembled from a kit about 12 years ago. Need some advice on loads as I'd like to take it out and shoot it again.

I've found on my .50's, that 15 to 20 gr 3F gives me excellent groups outto 35 yds on paper targets.
Granted, we're talking apples to oranges since my guns are'nt lymans. but my 10 shoot aggregate scores backup my recomendation.

the lyman muzzleloading book vol 2 by sam fadala has great tables on the plains pistol.
