I have been trying to compile a list of Muzzleloading/Rendezvous with Latitude, Longitude.
(in my area which is California)

Also, making Google Map page with driving routes and/or waypoints.

example Google Map
Laguna Mtn and Manzanita Rendesvous - San Diego County, CA

Many of these events are in remote locations and often the written instructions by the club member in charge somewhat lacking.

GPS is fairly cheap nowadays and provides a reassurance that you are going to get to the right place. Especially for first time attendees.

Any leads, info, ideas, or coordinate values would be appreciated.

Possibly a public depository for this info could be created.

Excellent idea. I've done something similar.

My only suggestion would be to place your "pins" at the entrance to the event. It makes it easier for people to know where to enter, especially if the event is far from the highway.

Actually, I do that. In the example shown the entrance to site happened to be right next to the paved road. You'll see it when zoomed in.

Here's another example that shows a route to a site that is a few miles on dirt roads.
Take this one with the caveat that there is a shorter route, but at the time the longer route was more comfotable on the butt.
Now the short route has been re-graded and I haven't modified the map.

Bighorn Mountain Man Rendezvous near Big Bear CA - September

I just changed GPS brands to Garmin.
They have an Internet Explorer Plugin that will allow you to capture Google Maps data direct to your GPS unit if it's connected to your home computer. I've used this for waypoints but not sure about full routes. Still experimenting with the new toy. (Garmin 1490T, online Costco, $250)

I attend both of those. I put my pins right at the gate (entrance).

I use Garmin also. As far as I know, you can only transfer Google "locations" to the GPS, it won't do the route. (or, I just don't see the option)
