GraF & Sons stuff is made by Wano Schwarzpulver GmbH - Kunigunde, Germany (Schuetzen Powder)

See this post from last winter in the MZ Accuracy Forum - Post: Side X Side Test of Four Powders (Topic#200150)

It will give you a basis to start from.

I buy it by the case from Grafs. They are great to do Biz. with. I have found the powder Schuetzen to be very clean. I have seen some test on here showing it slower than Goex. I have never checked it, I do know that it is very accurate in all my rifles. I shoot Getz and Rice barrels.

Thanks all, It sounds like it should work great, plus the cost is very good. I ordered some 3F and some 2F&3F swiss to try, All I have ever shot was GO Blackpowder, so it's about time to try something new. Around here in SC theres no place that sells Blackpowder any more :cursing:

Better than Goex in my 50's and the 36. I think this is because the fouling is softer. Very accurate target powder. The power level was a little hotter than Goex when I tested it, but others report that Goex has increased to match. My flinter liked it a lot.

J.R. is correct as to source. The Mad Monk of Black Powder has tested it & stated it is exactly the same as the Schuetzen BP Powder.

I now use it almost exclusively and find it great, the alder charcoal does seem to give a resulting softer fouling and easier clean up even here in this part of Arizona where humidity is very low.

Fullstock,
I've used Grafs powder with no complaints.
I tend to stay with Goex because I can get
it locally when I need it.I will agree that
the folks at Grafs are outstanding people to
deal with.If you need it there site is: www.grafs.com

I use Grafs, I can't compare it to Goex, as I've never used the latter. I'm workin' on the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" principle.
