A large part of wild grapevine peeled ad ready to be cut up into splittable chunks for making charcoal .Hard to find larger vines like this in northeastern Michigan.
Further south I imagine they get very large. I don’t know about making a stock from it as I-think it is too soft. I was maybe going to try a knife handle just for fun, I did one from lilac and it looked ok.That vine is a twig compared to some around my place. I once wondered if I could get a stock out of some of mine. I'll have to admit I don't make charcoal so all the vines I cut go on the burn pile.
