Does anyone have any experience with the .62cal green mountain barrel for the t/c reneagade, was thinking of buying one and was wondering if they were worth the money.

I bought a .62cal smoothbore Flint barrel from them and it's great...I have it on a .54/.58 size TC Hawken stock, set up with a turkey load...

If you can get them anywhere let me know.

Everyone I have called is out of them and GM has been telling me 12 more weeks since last Feb!

I am not impressed with them at all.

Mine was made at my request by installing a Flint breechplug on a .62cal barrel before they put on a cap plug.

They've never had the Flint version available...told me when I bought mine that they would go ahead and add a Flint version to their barrel line in early 2005.

Depending on how bad you want it, you could have them remove / replace a cap plug on one...might be a surcharge, dunno.

Also, check with Ed Cain at Cain's Outdoor in West VA...he's handles a lot of TC and GM stuff...he may be able to call GM and smooze them into making your's up for you now like he did mine.

Nope...Just got off the phone with TOTW and they are out of stock. Just like everybody else.

Does anybody know of anybody other than green mountain that makes smoothbore barrels for the t\c renegade!

Does you Renegade have a 15/16" or a 1" barrel channel? If it is a 1" check with Pork Chop. He has a .12 ga smoothbore T/C barrel for a 1" channel.

FYI...all Renegades have 1" barrel beds;
(PS: Pork Chop's barrel is made by Toldeo Arms, not a T/C)

Thanks for letting me know RB, I thought the Renegades were the same as the Hawkens as far as the size of the barrel channel depending on caliber.
