I replied over in another category. GRRW (Green River Rifle Works) barrels were excellent in the late 70s and early 80s. Fine inside and out, great shooters, smooth as silk to load, deep rifling, beautiful breech threads, excellent finish outside, and made on centers. I'd take one over the "other Green barrel" in a heartbeat, mainly because I like the steel better. But Getz steel cuts the smoothest I have ever seen. Engraving on it is like engraving in annealed brass.

GRRW made some terrific Hawken and Leman guns and kits back in the day. Went broke like most semi-production houses trying to make best quality stuff.
