I was looking through some old records and thought you might find this information interesting about your GRRW Hawken rifle, serial number H-053.

It sold on Track of the Wolf back on 6/14/2004 for $1,399. Here are some pictures of it then.

It was listed again on Track of the Wolf's website and sold on 12/20/2011 for $1,699. Here are some pictures of it at that time.

GRRW Rifles with Light Stocks

This rifle has a light stock. I have a couple with similar light stocks in my collection. At one time, I thought these might have been finished with a stain that was not "light fast" and had faded over time. Then I saw this picture on Doc Whites website of some rifles photographed in GRRW's finish room waiting on their finishes to dry. Notice the Hawken stock that has a lighter finish than the other Hawken and Leman stocks hanging with it.

I now believe that this light stock was the way these rifles were originally finished.
