Longtime lay student of early American history but I am new to the flintlock world. Wanted to see if there were any knowledgeable folks in the upstate SC area who might be willing to give me some tips, answer questions, etc. I am zeroing in on a Kibler kit, most likely to be assembled by Chuck Edwards. But, there are many many other questions. Anyway, would love to meet some folks in the area. Thanks!

Years ago my wife & I were thinking about retiring to that area, but couldn't find much out about gun clubs, etc. However, Fred Stutzenberger, who writes for Muzzleloader magazine and who has built many flintlock rifles lives in that area and shouldn't be hard to find. Btw, he used to, or may still teach at Clemson U., which may provide you with contact information.

Thank you for your response! I was able to track down an email that may work. Fingers crossed...

I live in the low country of SC. I live about 200 miles from you. wish I was closer, I have a shooting range at my cabin and have been shooting BP on and off since the 70s, and handloading cartridge guns since 1967, we could have a blast,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
