Yes, Chicago...one of the world's least friendly communities for gun owners (although the courts have helped improve things quite a bit :grin: )

26 years old, never owned a gun (but looking), and strangely attracted to the black powder variety (percussion pistols and cap-and-ball revolvers). Interested in perhaps getting into the hobby, so I could definitely use tips on local pistol ranges, including opportunities to meet people to try my hand with black powder before making a commitment!

Looking forward to what this forum has to offer and what I can offer once I have the experience!
