Hello, I've been a hard core traditional muzzel loader hunter since 1972, when I was just 14. Now a "few" years later, I own some beautiful custom made longrifles. I've just had my dream hunt accomplished this year and felt I needed to share.

Hey everybody, thanks for the warm welcome, it's nice to be excepted to your forum. This is my first forum so please bear with me as I learn my way around, so if I don't reply it's because I've lost my way.....
Deerstalkert, Your right about the .54 cal. but it's a handmade JS Hawken. It has a 1 1/8 to 1" old H&H barrel, the rifle was built in 1980, the charge 125 gr. Of 3F Goex and a patched round ball. At 70 yds the load shot clean through. As for where I got him, it was "No Tell'em" creek, maybe I'll see ya around.

ah heck! i thought no tell em creek was my secret! we may see each other if you creep about the north border. i am waiting for the late season cow muzzleloader. easier on a crippled up old has been.
i have the plans and barrel to build one just like yours, thinking doing it in maple just for s&g's.
