Greetings,

I am fairly new to these boards; about a week now. I find this to be an excellent community of like minded individuals and enthusiasts with a wealth of collective knowledge.

I'm a family man, and by trade a Writer and Producer of History Channel programs. I've worked in Film and Television for 17 years and have also been a living historian and collector for just about as long. Only recently did I start getting into earlier, pre-1840s weapons, and I've already found a great community of people here who offer excellent advice and research.

Welcome to the forum, Sam. You might just find these oldy-time firearms as addicting as the rest of us. Seems that along with them comes an interest in American history in the early years. Who knows, you just might be instrumental in filming some historically correct films. Not saying that you might not haven't already. Anyways, it'll be interesting to hear some stories.

Welcome to the MLF Sam! Lots of friendly knowlegable folks on the site. Hope you share some history and stories with us.

Welcome Sam! You've found a good bunch of friendly and knowledgeable folks. I think an appreciation of history is what gets a lot of people started in these very addicting pursuits.

Welcome to the forum! I will be waiting to read some posts from you on interesting experiences you have had.
