Howdy All,

I have always wanted to build my own rifle. Back 20 or so years ago I went through a small town in Ohio that had a historical school that taught a gun building class. I was only 13 or 14ish and they wouldn't let me into the class. Ten years later I tried to find the town again and couldn't.

So my question is, does anybody teach a muzzleloading class? In the old one you spent a week crafting your gun under the eye of a gunsmith and at the end of the week you had a PC rifle to show for it.

Any info would be great.

Log Cabin in Lodi, Ohio runs a monthly seminar. I don't believe it's an actual start to finish gun building class, but maybe that's what you were looking for. as Mike said, Connor Prairie has a class coming up and I've been twice to the class in Appomattox, VA at the Holiday Lake 4H camp and had an excellent time. http://www.holidaylake4h.com/flintlockrifle.php

Thank you both, I looked into both. Now I just need to save my pennies.
