I would like to know what are the minimum size requirements for a gunstock blank for a musket. I realize that this may depend on what type of musket I plan to build but I have not decided yet. Thanks

When you say musket, I assume you're talking Brown Bess, etc. A check on Track's website shows that the Bess barrel is almost 1 1/2" at the breech and 46" long. Most blanks will handle the length with no problem, just make sure it's 2 1/2" thick to give you some room to play with. Cast off shouldn't be an issue so you should be OK.

Minimum size requirements will be totally dependant on the model of musket you select. Decide that first, then pick your wood. Select all of your parts with a purpose in mind or you will have a real mess on your hands at assembly time. Nothing will fit, nothing will match and nothing will "feel right"!
