Anybody got one of these in .45 cal?Looking for some load info and what type of projectiles are suitable.

Anybody got an owners manual they could photo copy?I'll pay for one.

I had to look it up, a sorta military look ml'er.
Should not be any different than any other .45.
Patched round ball, whatever load of bp works well. You will be in the 45 to 90 grain charge range.

That's a great looking rifle. I wonder if it will take conicals like the other military 45"s.

Well,I found out it is a 1 in 48 twist.I believe it will shoot conicals from what I've found out so far.

I have had one for years but never shot it that much. A member here reported excellent accuracy with REAL bullets, but mine doesn't shoot them well at all. I had a small quantity of hollow base minie type bullets that someone gave me that worked well, but I haven't found any more. Mostly when I do shoot it I shoot patched round balls.

I could not find any manuals to download, even tried the H&R site.

Goex has load charts here: Link

I've tried to find a manual since I picked it up,no luck.H&R has absolutely nothing on anything period. One fellow told me when they changed hands nothing was saved on older guns the company had produced.

Thanks for that info on the projectiles.I got a Lee .45 cal.minie mold with the rifle.I wondered if the REAL bullets were an option on these.
