Yep, take the lock out and see if it functions out of the pistol. IIRC you have an old CVA? The sear noses on those locks have a tendency to snap off under certain circumstances and is not readily noticeable. They sometimes break off so cleanly it is hard to see the break. Mine broke as a result of me pulling the hammer back past 1/2 cock and then releasing it to "snap" out the spent cap.If that is the issue you can get the part from Deer Creek.
