Handgonne project?

Today, at a local flea market I bought this piece of barrel. It is about 8" long and appears to be .50 cal. It was $1.00. Maybe a pistol project? Maybe a matchlock pistol?

That would make a fun handgonne breeched, with a touchhole and a tiller on the rear. I'd have sure paid a dollar for it! I'd say Santa was looking out for you Tom.

Thanks. I'll probably get another vulgar PM because I found it.
But, I'm now looking at some more matchlocks trying to plan a short gun.

You can do the proto wood stock style, like on the Rifle Shoppe hackenbusche. Might be easier to put together, depending on how you breech the barrel. Some of those also had levers to fire them.
